A box containing dessert. The Sweetbox is a balance between the content and form.  The content of the box is designed to provide the variety of tastes but also visually interplay of forms and food conditions.

The wooden box is defined to make the Sweetbox a “Bring In” dessert treat/surprise/gift. It explores the concept of the dessert through the form as much as its taste: The food is objectified and the wooden object is “tastified”. The inside is divided to accommodate four different tastes and to serve ten people.

The four desserts in pictured box are: Fresh banana covered in dark chocolate with almonds, sesame and chili; four cheeses and three herbs skewer; still-in-one-piece peeled walnut; grilled orange peel dipped in milk and dark chocolate sprinkled with salt crystals.

While thinking on the composition of tastes selection of the food it also plays with its particular form. Some maintain its original growing shape and some are hidden in more geometric form to add the element of surprise.

The size of the box shown on images is 45 x 23 x 5 cm and it serves ten people. Box dimensions, quantity of dessert courses, type of courses and the number it serves can vary. Box is digitally cut out of 4 mm birch plywood and each container has inlay of a baking paper for easier handling and hygiene.

It is perfect thing for various events where you want to offer an extra treat to your guests or clients.

This bed has two special features: It sits on seven sheets and stores four surfboards. Each surfboard penetrates the bed from different angle.

The bed is specially designed for this particular surfboards that vary in shape and size – and were, as most of the surfboards if not in use – always in the way.

The measurements of the boards are taken to cut individual slots for each one. The size of the room was taken in the consideration when the slots were designed. Therefore taking the boards out for the next surf-trip is no problem.

The various angles of the slots make the surfboards appear floating as they do in their “normal” element.

Once back from the trip the boards are put back in their space within seconds.

To stabilize the bed the sheets are fixed to each other with threaded metal rods  – the direction of them offers a contrast to the orientation of the surfboards. Further stability of the bed is provided by a purpose-built slatted frame. Each sheet slots into the predetermined holes on the slatted frame.

Surfing and sleeping are now physically closer than ever.

The Freeflow Shelf is a custom-built and site-specific shelving unit. It is designed to store various predetermined items and is not fixed to the wall.

Each of the 33 sections has precisely cut grooves which are used to interlock with each other. Both design and production are hand-made.

Together they form a 3D-puzzle which doesn’t use any binders and is structurally sound without being fixed to the wall.

Being site-specific built this object can be refitted only in exactly the same space. But using the same principle this design is adoptable to any other space, dimension or wall configuration.

The material used for the shelf is 19mm Multiplex.

This line of light replicates a freely hand drawn straight line. Its organic flow is opposing the common experience of translucent lighting bodies which we relate to most non-personal spaces like waiting halls. The Glowing Line is actually based on two hand drawn lines that are combined to enable a flow in all three dimensions: height, width and length.

Using two drawings makes it possible that the light looks like a stroke that is drawn with an imaginary pen in the air.

The Bookfloat-Shelf is a shelving unit designed to fulfill several purposes. Besides the obvious use as a shelf it can also be a mobile TV stand/hanger or a room divider.

Being fitted with four wheels/roles this shelf can be moved easily in the space. The wooden frame made of hardwood can easily support the weight of a hanging flat screen monitor. The directions and the amount of the spanned 2mm steel wire can be modified according to the use of the object.

Using rigging screws on each of the wire endings the wire tension can be adjusted to accommodate more or heavier objects without affecting the visual cleanness of the geometry.

It is a perfect thing to store temporarily all those things you’ve listened, seen or read half way through.

One doesn’t need a bike to appreciate these bike lamps. All of the lamps in this collection are used, vintage bicycle lamps.

The lamps are from different design periods. I decided to stick with the cone-shaped bicycle lamps. That means the oldest lamp is originating from the 30s and the youngest from 70s. They vary in sizes, colors and how well preserved they are.

The present condition of each lamp is preserved from further declining. The lamps are refitted with new electrical installations, adopted to European electrical current.

Each lamp comes with an Euro plug which can be easily removed so the cable can be connected directly into the ceiling’s electrical installation. With its 3 meter long textile cable it can be set at any height. Each light can be switched on and off at the bikelamp itself.

The type of light is optional. It can be halogen which emits certain heat but can be dimmed. Or it can be LED that is energy saving and has a cooler light quality. The color and length of the textile cable is also optional.

Each thread/rope is fitted with carbon tubing and a crocodile clip perfectly spaced. When not in use it looks like a fine line with a small clip on its end.

To make it fully functional one has to take the ending with the crocodile clip and clip it back to its thread on the marked spot.

The gravity will provide the tension needed for an item to hang and the carbon tubing will provide its rigidity not to fold. Its verticality makes the space where it hangs appearing higher.

The sculptural quality of the reclaimed wood has driven visually the concept of this bed. I wanted to accent the new form of the wood, as a result of aging, by using minimal support to gain perfect stability.

This was achieved by inlaying the slatted frame in cut grooves on the wooden posts and the tensioned steel rope. The rope is attached in a diagonal orientation forming two pairs of posts. The devised system neutralizes the horizontal forces and keeps this high bed in place.

Before treating the surface of the wood in transparent gloss finish it was carefully cleaned from rot and dirt. Some of the wooden posts still have the additional wooden support on a sides which was added while they were still in the use as structural beams. Many other markings from the function as beams are deliberately kept.

The height of the bed provides additional lightness to its structure and makes an interesting visual contrast to the massive wooden posts.
